Doolike Factory Note: If your supplier can’t explain the difference between a 4,850mAh cell and a 4,000mAh cell with a "fake sticker," you are sourcing in the wrong place. At the Doolike lab, we have torn down and verified the latest iPhone 17 series to give you the industry's first set of verified 2025 specs.
Introduction
In the battery wholesale world, data is power. But let's be real: most "Spec Charts" you find online are just recycled from outdated sources. They won't tell you which connectors are fragile or which models are actually interchangeable.
This "Doolike Master List" is our internal factory reference. It covers everything from the legacy iPhone 6 to the brand-new iPhone 17 Pro Max, including the essential SE series.
1. The Legacy Workforce (iPhone 6 to 8 Plus)
These are the "old reliables." While demand is slowing, they remain huge in budget repair markets across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
| Model | Capacity (mAh) | Voltage (V) | Energy (Wh) | Doolike Technician’s Tip |
| iPhone 6 | 1,810 | 3.82V | 6.91 | Classic 2-pin. Very low return rate. |
| iPhone 6 Plus | 2,915 | 3.82V | 11.14 | Watch for "touch disease" logic board issues. |
| iPhone 6S / 6S Plus | 1,715 / 2,750 | 3.82V | 6.55 / 10.45 | Do not mix with i6. Connectors are not compatible. |
| iPhone 7 / 7 Plus | 1,960 / 2,900 | 3.80V | 7.45 / 11.08 | The start of the flex-style connector era. |
| iPhone 8 / 8 Plus | 1,821 / 2,691 | 3.82V | 6.96 / 10.28 | Compatible with high-quality wireless charging. |
2. The Notch Era: X to 11 Series
This is the "Sweet Spot" for the current wholesale market. The iPhone 11 remains the undisputed king of aftermarket battery demand in 2025.
| Model | Capacity (mAh) | Voltage (V) | Wh | Battery Type |
| iPhone X | 2,716 | 3.81V | 10.35 | L-shaped Stacked dual-cell. |
| iPhone XR | 2,942 | 3.79V | 11.16 | Best Seller. Simple rectangular cell, extremely durable. |
| iPhone XS / XS Max | 2,658 / 3,174 | 3.81V | 10.13 / 12.06 | L-shaped. BMS is sensitive to static electricity. |
| iPhone 11 | 3,110 | 3.83V | 11.91 | Highest B2B demand globally in 2025. |
| iPhone 11 Pro / Max | 3,046 / 3,969 | 3.83V | 11.67 / 15.04 | Pro models use the high-density L-shaped design. |
3. The 5G & USB-C Era: 12 to 15 Series
Starting with these models, Apple's BMS encryption became much more aggressive. Without a Ti-grade chip, your customers will see "Important Battery Messages".
| Model | Capacity (mAh) | Voltage (V) | Wh | Key Insight |
| iPhone 12 / Pro | 2,815 | 3.83V | 10.78 | Fully Interchangeable. One SKU covers both models. |
| iPhone 13 / Pro | 3,227 / 3,095 | 3.83V | 12.41 / 11.85 | Not interchangeable. Connectors are flipped. |
| iPhone 14 Pro Max | 4,323 | 3.86V | 16.68 | Return to a more standard rectangular design. |
| iPhone 15 Pro Max | 4,422 | 3.86V | 17.07 | The first model built for high-heat USB-C charging. |
4. The 2025 New Frontier: 16 & 17 Series
This is where the high-margin premium market sits. The new iPhone 17 "Slim" requires extremely thin pouch technology, a major hurdle for low-end factories.
| Model | Capacity (mAh) | Voltage (V) | Wh | Doolike Lab Notes (2025) |
| iPhone 16 Pro Max | 4,685 | 3.90V | 18.27 | The gold standard of the 2024 lineup. |
| iPhone 17 | 3,510 | 3.88V | 13.62 | Slight capacity bump; thinner connector profile. |
| iPhone 17 Slim (Air) | 3,150 | 3.92V | 12.35 | Hardest to manufacture. Uses a specialized ultra-thin cell. |
| iPhone 17 Pro | 3,650 | 3.90V | 14.23 | Optimized for high-voltage fast charging. |
| iPhone 17 Pro Max | 4,850 | 3.90V | 18.91 | The new 2025 record. Requires high-performance thermal pads. |
5. The "Fleet King": SE Series
Wholesalers often overlook the SE, but for corporate fleet contracts and school districts, these are essential stock.
| Model | Capacity (mAh) | Voltage (V) | Wh | Pro Tip |
| iPhone SE (2020) | 1,821 | 3.82V | 6.96 | Fully compatible with iPhone 8 batteries. |
| iPhone SE (2022) | 2,018 | 3.88V | 7.82 | Looks like an i8 battery, but the connector is different. |
How Doolike Verifies These Specs
We don't just take the cell manufacturer's word for it. In our Guangzhou facility, every batch undergoes a 3-step verification:
Actual Capacity Test: We run a 0.2C discharge test to ensure the mAh on the sticker matches the mAh in the cell.
Voltage Stability: We ensure nominal voltage stays within a +/- 0.02V tolerance.
Dimensional Precision: We use digital calipers to ensure the battery won't press against the screen and cause "white spots".
